So Since I Started Working......

Ive been really slacking on cooking home cooked from scratch meals...
Thing is so much to do and so tired, i know I only work part time but so many things are taking up my time and energy anymore...
Can't wait til this car is paid off then i can go back home full time (about 2 months I should  have it paid off, but prolly continue working til Feb to save some moneyz for the kiddo)
So tonight im making a special dinner
Veal Pasta sauce on top of spinach & mushroom stuffed Manicotti
Salad
and a GIANT COOKIE for dessert..

Something I did for hubby cause hes just the best ever thanks to the girls at works help and all, we will be celebrating 9 years this coming up Valentines day in 2014! =)

Life Updates!

Well life has been wonderful hubby & I been blessed thats fer sure, thanking god so much as of late for everything! =)

I am my Home Association Treasurer now!

We also been spending a lot of time hanging out and getting things ready for a yard sale, found stuff we wont use, kitchen appliances, books, dvds, clothes, baseball cards, other odds and ends.

So we are cleaning up and getting things together for a sale AND making room for the baby or babies see what god has planned anyways =)

About to go on 3 years living in the new house, also almost got my car paid off, then gonna put a couple more checks aside then probably call it a job well done and quit after the holidays, I still have so much to do before the kiddo(s) come along, wanna do a Justice League mural in the kids room, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle in the bathroom and finish my Asian themed kitchen its about half way done now, we turned Bruce's old room into a Library / Den / TV Room, so our upstairs area is a sitting/gaming room for when friends come over. We are so excited =)

Not much else been going on really, getting money saved up, more money saved up for comicon, its a 3 day con next year, I have inside scoop being the co-leader of the Doctor Who group in our area, turns out they invited John Barrowman which is AHHHHHHHHHHEXXXXXXXXXCITING! I hope they get him =) They are also inviting a ton more Doctor Who guests, so guess we will see whats gonna happen.

Also got half our Christmas shopping done, usually we are done by now but with me working too things have really fallen behind, we always had bbq 1-2 times a week during the summer, not this year since I been working so now i gotta find out a day to get date nights going with our friends next door and others too and plan one and request the time off and grill up some of this chicken and ribs that way I can get some fresher stuff in the freezer before winter hits, north of us is already getting freaken snow! CRAZY I SAY!

anyways... tired... got in from work around 7:30... should try and get some sleep, should stay awake but im so tired........ *thud* Zzzzzzz

Heroes of Cosplay, Finale...

So as one of the fem doctors (fem 4) I like to say this, first off my post might be everywhere on whats going on and what happened but I am typing things as they come to my head so sorry in advanced if it seems all jumbled its just my mind is in a ticked off state at the present... anyways...

The show was edited poorly not to mention the dubbing they did over a lot of people to say things they really didn't say...

First off the show was to be called "Cosworld" and it was suppose to be a documentary show on cosplay at least that's what we where told. ONE HOUR before going on stage we where told that we where to be competing for cash prizes and we had to have a skit, we all looked at one another in shock and awe, the girl then informed us that the people who where being followed by Syfy weren't able to win these so called "cash prizes" which we found out later it was BULLCRAP, I mean don't get me wrong I was happy the fem 11 won the $500, we ended up giving it to fem 3 for all her hard work, she also spent her hard earned money on everything, it was something we all agreed upon prior, even tho we did it for fun and the shock of having all the fem 11 together with K-9, we didnt' expect to win anything, fem 3 did something really nice tho for us all and made little photo books of the fem 11's journey at comicon which was totally awesome!

The "How to train your dragon" girls told us they hadn't competed in years, and they where NOT there via Syfy channel which as we can tell otherwise cause we see them on tv with syfy every week since the show started. This also all happened during the judges' discussion of who gets what prizes, because we were told by the show staff that we needed to leave the audience and go behind the curtain.Which again after watching the show I can tell what was dubbed and what wasn't. Way to freaken edit and dub, syfy. #smh

Through a gap in the curtains, we saw one of the audience members who was also cosplaying as a doctor the 10th Doctor to be exact, I mean 40 other people saw her too, my husband sat right next to her! She stood up and yelled, "To all of you who are NOT SyFy plants, I love you.” and walk out of the room. Of course a cheer came up from the crowd and cosplayers or at least what was left of the crowd I mean after we did our skit everyone pretty much left, not to sound cocky but it's true, most of the people that had come up to our table as the con was going on said they would be there and tell there friends and family about it, it was the ONLY reason they would stay so late on a sunday.... not to mention so many being so frustrated with the show, retake after retake, my husband pointed out to me that him and his friend kept seeing people leave as re-takes kept happening, though our skit didn't have a retake it was boom done, mainly cause we kept it simple we didn't have time for anything other then that, we really couldn't fuck it up unless fem 11 would of passed out but even then we had a backup plan, since she had stage fright etc.

Also what syfy DIDN'T SHOW, was at the end of the show as we where heading back to the con floor, tired, hungry, grumpy cause everything took so long was fighting with security to get back to our table to get our things, not to mention when Chloe came up to us and questioned what happened back stage etc, and we explained to her what happened, it was all a misunderstanding and apologies took place even followed a group hug.

So don't be quick to judge on what happened, what syfy did was uncalled for dubbing and editing poorly, not to mention swapping what the show was to be able and not giving more info on what they had planned in the beginning, I am sure most of us could of came up with lighting and voices etc if we had more of a chance to do so, get both sides of the story before you hop.

I want to thank all the fem 11's supporters who have backed us up and stood by us and all the wonderful comments and msgs that have been sent to us, you guys rock!

I might add more to this later but for now I need to take a break and get my thoughts together.

Apology Letter To Becky Holly & Jessica

Heroes of Cosplay

Okay first off yes this is the show myself and my friends are to be in ...

Second, we where told it was going to be called Cosworld and a documentary show on cosplay

We thought awesome !! ~  Documentary show? really?

Maybe a hour before going on stage we got told the show name was "Heroes of Cosplay" and we needed a skit we where competing for cash prizes... and we are going to be on tv on Syfy.

We thought interesting....

We spotted all the cosplay plants too that syfy brought in, we were told they wouldn't compete since they where professionals, We thought, okay good good... now we are armatures compared to Yaya Han and some of these other girls, found out one of the girls daddy is the guy who did the special effects and such for star wars and other movies, so you KNOW they have connections, as well as Jino's girlfriend who is a major bitch on wheels I honestly wouldn't be with a woman like that if I was a guy, I mean shes just using him for costumes shes always bitching and complaining, I don't know how he can put up with her, not to mention all the other people that are plants in the show, also not to mention they lied to our face saying, "We aren't here with Syfy" but seeing there faces on the show for the last 4 weeks, we smelled bull shit since the beginning #smh really?? and they competed of course *shakes head* I mean they had lights and sound and people moving there sets and holy crap !!! we had NONE of that!

So time to see how we get edited, we get 2 episodes next Tuesday the 10th and the following week the 17th, I hope i got those nights off maybe ill see about going to our friends mom's to watch it ... if I am off work that is ... she is recording it for me so we will see ....

Either way the cosplay community is NOTHING like the show is showing, it was NEVER a competition as a community we always have FUN, being someone we are NOT on a regular bases, making new friends AND not judging people on shape size etc and not being judged ourselves...

So dont' let Heroes of Fakeplay discourage any of you out there, have fun =)

Beautiful advice from a divorced man after 16 years of marriage.

My advice after a divorce following 16 years of marriage, by Gerald Rogers.

Obviously, I’m not a relationship expert. But there’s something about my divorce being finalized this week that gives me perspective of things I wish I would have done different… After losing a woman that I loved, and a marriage of almost 16 years, here’s the advice I wish I would have had

1. Never stop courting. Never stop dating. NEVER EVER take that woman for granted. When you asked her to marry you, you promised to be that man that would OWN HER HEART and to fiercely protect it. This is the most important and sacred treasure you will ever be entrusted with. SHE CHOSE YOU. Never forget that, and NEVER GET LAZY in your love.

2. Protect your own heart. Just as you committed to being the protector of her heart, you must guard your own with the same vigilance. Love yourself fully, love the world openly, but there is a special place in your heart where no one must enter except for your wife. Keep that space always ready to receive her and invite her in, and refuse to let anyone or anything else enter there.

3. Fall in love over and over again. You will constantly change. You’re not the same people you were when you got married, and in five years you will not be the same person you are today. Change will come, and in that you have to re-choose each other everyday. SHE DOESN’T HAVE TO STAY WITH YOU, and if you don’t take care of her heart, she may give that heart to someone else or seal you out completely, and you may never be able to get it back. Always fight to win her love just as you did when you were courting her.

4. Always see the best in her. Focus only on what you love. What you focus on will expand. If you focus on what bugs you, all you will see is reasons to be bugged. If you focus on what you love, you can’t help but be consumed by love. Focus to the point where you can no longer see anything but love, and you know without a doubt that you are the luckiest man on earth to be have this woman as your wife.

5. It’s not your job to change or fix her… your job is to love her as she is with no expectation of her ever changing. And if she changes, love what she becomes, whether it’s what you wanted or not.

6. Take full accountability for your own emotions: It’s not your wife’s job to make you happy, and she CAN’T make you sad. You are responsible for finding your own happiness, and through that your joy will spill over into your relationship and your love.

7. Never blame your wife if you get frustrated or angry at her, it is only because it is triggering something inside of YOU. They are YOUR emotions, and your responsibility. When you feel those feelings take time to get present and to look within and understand what it is inside of YOU that is asking to be healed. You were attracted to this woman because she was the person best suited to trigger all of your childhood wounds in the most painful way so that you could heal them… when you heal yourself, you will no longer be triggered by her, and you will wonder why you ever were.

8. Allow your woman to just be. When she’s sad or upset, it’s not your job to fix it, it’s your job to HOLD HER and let her know it’s ok. Let her know that you hear her, and that she’s important and that you are that pillar on which she can always lean. The feminine spirit is about change and emotion and like a storm her emotions will roll in and out, and as you remain strong and unjudging she will trust you and open her soul to you… DON’T RUN-AWAY WHEN SHE’S UPSET. Stand present and strong and let her know you aren’t going anywhere. Listen to what she is really saying behind the words and emotion.

9. Be silly… don’t take yourself so damn seriously. Laugh. And make her laugh. Laughter makes everything else easier.

10. Fill her soul everyday… learn her love languages and the specific ways that she feels important and validated and CHERISHED. Ask her to create a list of 10 THINGS that make her feel loved and memorize those things and make it a priority everyday to make her feel like a queen.

11. Be present. Give her not only your time, but your focus, your attention and your soul. Do whatever it takes to clear your head so that when you are with her you are fully WITH HER. Treat her as you would your most valuable client. She is.

12. Be willing to take her sexually, to carry her away in the power of your masculine presence, to consume her and devour her with your strength, and to penetrate her to the deepest levels of her soul. Let her melt into her feminine softness as she knows she can trust you fully.

13. Don’t be an idiot…. And don’t be afraid of being one either. You will make mistakes and so will she. Try not to make too big of mistakes, and learn from the ones you do make. You’re not supposed to be perfect, just try to not be too stupid.

14. Give her space… The woman is so good at giving and giving, and sometimes she will need to be reminded to take time to nurture herself. Sometimes she will need to fly from your branches to go and find what feeds her soul, and if you give her that space she will come back with new songs to sing…. (okay, getting a little too poetic here, but you get the point. Tell her to take time for herself, ESPECIALLY after you have kids. She needs that space to renew and get re-centered, and to find herself after she gets lost in serving you, the kids and the world.)

15. Be vulnerable… you don’t have to have it all together. Be willing to share your fears and feelings, and quick to acknowledge your mistakes.

16. Be fully transparent. If you want to have trust you must be willing to share EVERYTHING… Especially those things you don’t want to share. It takes courage to fully love, to fully open your heart and let her in when you don’t know i she will like what she finds… Part of that courage is allowing her to love you completely, your darkness as well as your light. DROP THE MASK… If you feel like you need to wear a mask around her, and show up perfect all the time, you will never experience the full dimension of what love can be.

17. Never stop growing together… The stagnant pond breeds malaria, the flowing stream is always fresh and cool. Atrophy is the natural process when you stop working a muscle, just as it is if you stop working on your relationship. Find common goals, dreams and visions to work towards.

18. Don’t worry about money. Money is a game, find ways to work together as a team to win it. It never helps when teammates fight. Figure out ways to leverage both persons strength to win.

19. Forgive immediately and focus on the future rather than carrying weight from the past. Don’t let your history hold you hostage. Holding onto past mistakes that either you or she makes, is like a heavy anchor to your marriage and will hold you back. FORGIVENESS IS FREEDOM. Cut the anchor loose and always choose love.

20. Always choose love. ALWAYS CHOOSE LOVE. In the end, this is the only advice you need. If this is the guiding principle through which all your choices is governed, there is nothing that will threaten the happiness of your marriage. Love will always endure.

In the end marriage isn’t about happily ever after. It’s about work. And a commitment to grow together and a willingness to continually invest in creating something that can endure eternity. Through that work, the happiness will come. Marriage is life, and it will bring ups and downs. Embracing all of the cycles and learning to learn from and love each experience will bring the strength and perspective to keep building, one brick at a time.

These are lessons I learned the hard way. These are lessons I learned too late. But these are lessons I am learning and committed in carrying forward. Truth is, I loved being married, and in time, I will get married again, and when I do, I will build it with a foundation that will endure any storm and any amount of time.

If you are reading this and find wisdom in my pain, share it those those young husbands whose hearts are still full of hope, and with those couples you may know who may have forgotten how to love. One of those men may be like I was, and in these hard earned lessons perhaps something will awaken in him and he will learn to be the man his lady has been waiting for.

MEN- THIS IS YOUR CHARGE: Commit to being an EPIC LOVER. There is no greater challenge, and no greater prize. Your woman deserves that from. Be the type of husband your wife can’t help but brag about.

Life Updates!

Life is pretty good, things have been pretty busy
Hubby & I are now turning our one room Bruce was staying in into a theater/library for our comics and movies, now that hes gone we got the room to finally do so ^_^
Plus this will free a room upstairs for the kiddo(s)
We are just waiting on birth parents to pick our profile which is kinda annoying waiting
Tho I started a part time job last month doing some doughnut baking/decorating at a local grocery store, just part time, to pay for my car, we decided getting a second car was important with kids on the way, since that way I have a way to get around if need be, plus my car has 146K miles on it and our other car has 177K ... they are still running wonderfully BUT always better to be prepared (knock on wood) they continue running well, ive seen our make of cars last up to another 100K +
But once I get my car paid off i can come back home full time which I am looking forward too
I was home the last 5 years and loved every moment of it and hubby did also since only thing he had to worry about was cat litter and now that Bruce is gone and im working part time hes gotta help out a bit around the house, he don't like it to much :P
God has put many blessings in our path and pray he continue, he is so amazing!
Well off to finish some dinner and get back to watching movies for us

Heroes of Cosplay

Well the show aired last night, quick blog post from me
I didn't see it yet but I know it wasn't our convention
Our convention gets 2 episodes and it's the last 2 of the series
Excited to see ourselves on tv with the Fem 1 though 11 doctors!
Kinda nervious on how the show will go, previews make me sick
Seeing the photo's and the previews just shows who the syfy plants where
Don't get me wrong glad the fem 11 won the $500 for best craftsmanship
But still... they make cosplayers  seem like they don't care on real life bills etc
Well guess we will see...

The New Doctor is........ Peter Capaldi!

Sure going to miss you Matt Smith, I started tearing up at the reveal, gonna ball my eyes out at your regeneration.... right now I have to say I am excited to see Peter but but if Matt's regen is anything like David's im going to need a full box and then some of tissues *sulk*

But I have to say, Peter Capaldi revealed as 12th Doctor, he was on the show in the past as well as Torchwood, nice to see a familiar face, kinda funny his role in World War Z was the W.H.O Doctor though =)

Heroes of Cosplay, by Syfy..

Cant say much on this due to the NDA agreement or whatever but they finally announced that they are airing the 6 part mini series on Syfy, first date for it is Aug 13th 2013 @ 9:30pm cst

Myself and 10 of my friends did a fem 11 doctor cosplay, we where on the show and stuff, dunno how they are going to lay out things but guess we shall see what will happen when the show airs...

Updates...

I know it been awhile but life has gotten really busy as of late...

Hubby & I are getting rdy to welcome kiddo's into our lives, which could be anytime now

We been really busy with work... I just started a job this month decorating donuts & cakes, part time nothing fancy, just something to make some extra funds for a few months to get a 2nd car so I have a car when the babies arrive this way if i need to get around while hes at work or something, which will help in the long run =)

Still working on my art projects with the house, we are talking about making a movie room kinda like a theater den kinda thing, we are excited about it, Plus our friend moved out so i been working on my last 100lbs of weight loss, SO HAPPY about that, it was hard with him here and I managed to gain 40lbs back but I lost over 20 in the last month! I know well we know he still didn't have a job but we couldn't have him stay here anymore I mean... 3.5 years go by, still no job, stays downstairs all the time, comes with me shopping but seems he wouldn't make no effort when I told him of jobs, it was nice with the help of some of the fit it stuff when it was done right & I didn't have to hear hubby bitch how wrong it was done or it was taking to long... But we just couldn't do it anymore, I mean it felt like we had a teenager that would sleep all day, play games all night... and with me in 3 days of job hunting I get 2 interviews, something is really fishy, so hubby & I decided it was time.. so hes living with my hubby's brother and his brothers wife, maybe he will have better luck that way who knows, but we wish him the best!

Not much else going on really just been trying to get things taken care of before kiddo(s) its going to be exciting! ~ Got rid of all the bad influences in our lives (well almost) but the main ones we did, now to relax and enjoy life more... hubby & I met 9 years ago, married 8.5 years... those ppl that said we are a lost cause and we wont make it *flips the bird* you wonder why we don't keep in touch, yeah... reason we don't like you, reason you or us aren't around you... so DEAL with it, you brought it upon yourself PERIOD.

But yeah, things have been so much better =)
We are blessed and we await the fun god has in store for us, he provides, god is awesome!

Olivia, 1997-2013

One week ago we took our Olivia to the vet & she made her way to the rainbow bridge, this last week has been harder then I thought in some ways but in others not so hard knowing shes not suffering anymore, not a day goes by that we dont' miss her and love her, wishing she was still here, but til our time comes & we all meet her at the pearly gates, we will hold her memories and photo's close to us & remember the amazing times with her when she was with us, just knowing the hurt will pass we will be able to get past the pain but never forget what a amazing favorite orange ball of furry fun she was. Always running up and down the halls calling out to us, sleeping in odd positions and areas of the home and even in our arms, she was a crazy cat but we always loved her and still love her no matter what.

The other kitties been having a hard time, our boy kitty the most since they shared the spare room and soft food together. But the others are slowly coming around even tho they spend a lot of days crying out looking for her which makes me sad, I wish they understood what I try to tell them.

Olivia is off playing with JR in the grass chasing birds and mice and having fun... but they don't understand that, hope as time goes by it will get easier for all of us, know we love you kitty girl Olivia and some day we will see you again We will miss you and keep loving you as time goes by til we see you again you and JR have fun

Lord I know she isn't in pain anymore, please help her find JR but I believe she already has, you opened your gates and they are now playing and having tons of fun, take care of them both til we all meet again someday, let them know we love them and miss them very much, when we come to your gates have them there waiting for us as the gates open, ask this in your name .. Amen
