NWL is no more BUT Metro Pro is coming back & other rambles!

I apologize for the long winded post here but I have to say a few things myself about the news that got dropped yesterday with NWL.

First off I want to say Thank You! To all the amazing talented guys & gals that made wrestling great again and it will continue to be great, that I am sure of!

NWL may have closed their doors but so much is still going to happen, this I am sure of! I saw Metro's post about making a come back, I saw XWC making offers/discounts to help out in which way they can and so forth, so its not the end, not by a long shot!

Joel and I started to go to Metro Pro back in Summer of 2016, never missed a show cause it fell on the Saturdays he was off work. We made posters for The King Brothers, Mike Sydal, Jay Howard and my brain is missing a few. It also opened the door for me to work with Brian Kelley at Missouri Wrestling Revival to do some art for Nathan Redwing, Jon Webb, and Don Cipolla. But this opened the door to us big time thanks to our sister Sar introducing us to Chris & letting us set up a table & promote our comics.

December came and that's when we found out about Major starting NWL, we were super excited to see where things will go from here.

Sadly every Saturday NWL had a show in KC, Joel worked. I worked or had other stuff going on. But I was able to finally catch them when they were at Planet Comicon in April since I was already going to be there. (Joel worked sadly) But I was able to catch up with a lot of my friends I hadn't seen since the Metro show in December.

As the year went on sadly I had to miss more NWL shows due to timing, but it was nice to be able to catch up on their youtube channel and facebook updates of what had been going on and so forth.

Kansas City Comic Con opened their doors in late 2017 to Kansas City Xtreme Wrestling to put on a show there. We had met a few people the year prior when we were still doing our comics when they came over and bought them. At first we though Xtreme wrestling meant tables, chairs and other Xtreme crazy matches reason at first we were like "UM?" and we didn't know anyone that went to their shows to talk to them about it. But thankfully at KCCC we got talking with James & our friend Rene who we hadn't seen since Metro days as well as the wrestlers after the show, one of them was kind enough to give Joel some water cause he was yelling/screaming so much he about lost his voice. We decided that since their shows were falling on Joel's off days to go check them out! We did and had a blast, it also sparked Joel & I into getting back into making posters for wrestlers again.

GWF another wrestling promo started in March, happened to be on Joel's weekends off at the end of the month, started to go to those too. Sadly only one NWL show fell on his day off but thankfully it did cause we were able to go! We were excited to see another coming up soon too but then the bomb dropped of NWL closing its doors but Metro Pro Wrestling opening theirs again!

Its always sad to see when one door closes or when things with schedules get hard to make plans to go places we always love going. But c'est la vie! We made things work the best we could. To go to all the shows we could to support all the wrestling we could being the fans we are! We even have a closet that is nothing but wrestling shirts, mainly from the indy's not just here in KC but other states also, and of course WWE, but who do you know has a closet of nothing but wrestling shirts? Now you do know someone

Again thank you Major and all the talented men and women out there. For everything. Thank you to KCXW MPW and GWF for everything too. I am still excited to see where things are going to go from here.

You guys and gals have inspired me to get on track with my weight loss over the last 2.5 years, im 3lbs away last i checked in being 170lbs lost, ive lost almost 70 inches in my waist, you guys and gals also inspired me to tryout & take classes here soon to become a ref as well as wrestling manager. (Bit to old to do the wrestling thing lol)

So here is a huge again THANK YOU from me to all of you, without all of you wrestling isn't what it is today here in KC. My goals of ref/manager and cosplaying She-Hulk would of been just a pipe dream but is some day going to be reality.

I love all of you, thank you  and thank you for reading my rambles I just hope its okay and it made sense, im never good at these things lol

Wrestling will continue to be amazing here in KC, you can count on it!
So lets work together and make it so!
